Amsterdam based label Daily Paper releases the images of the second part of their Spring/Summer 2015 collection. For the Look book the label travelled to the iconic city of Chefchaouen in Morocco, the region that served as the main inspiration for their collection. The collection draws inspiration from the descendants of the pre-Arab inhabitants of North Africa and is set for availability this Saturday through the Daily Paper online store and selected retailers.
After travelling to Morocco for a photo-shoot in early 2014, the design team of Daily Paper got inspired by the culture, colors and fabrics of the Moroccan people. Upon their return they got back to the drawing board and created 2 collections for the SS15 collection. The first chapter was mainly focused on the color palettes used by the Moroccan people and their use of fabrics, while this chapter shows influences from the 'Imazighen', the descendants of the pre-Arab inhabitants of North Africa.
The collection in its whole is an ode to North African culture and is filled with well tailored staples such as: All over print T-shirts, shorts, quilted bomber jackets and denim coats.
Established in 2010 by a collective of friends with a mutual interest in clothing, design and authentically representing their heritage; Daily Paper aims to acknowledge African designs and culture through classic menswear staples. The Amsterdam-based brand was shaped with the intention of producing quality street/casual wear for men just like themselves: innovative and cultured with the desire to express their individuality through personal style. By balancing European and African style elements, resulting in a blend of wearable unique clothes, Daily Paper attracts a variety of target groups. The combination of western silhouettes and African inspired prints and colors has proven to be a winning team.
The collection will be available for purchase on Saturday the 18th of April through Daily Paper’s online store and selected retailers.
